Spiritual Formation

Training Hearts and Minds for Christ

Your child will spend roughly 16,000 hours in classrooms between now and high school graduation. The question is not whether your child will be shaped by their education, but how they will be shaped and toward what end.

At CCS, success in Christian education involves more than imparting biblical literacy. We desire to see students whose walk with Jesus deepens each year, who know Scripture and live it.m and who graduate ready to stand firm in a culture that rewards compromise.

Weekly Chapel

Every week, K-12 students gather for chapel to encounter God through worship, prayer, and His Word. Chapel is where hearts are softened, students are challenged to live boldly for Christ, and the CCS community gathers as one family under the Lordship of Jesus. Students lead worship, share testimonies, and model how to use their influence for God's glory.

Bible Classes

Students progress through a carefully designed Bible curriculum that teaches the storyline of Scripture, core doctrines, and their application. Hard questions about suffering, authority, and cultural pressure become opportunities to practice critical, biblical interpretation. This skill extends to all of life: how they approach relationships, ethics, entertainment, and their future calling. By graduation, students can open Scripture and explain what it says, why it matters, and how it applies.

Biblical Electives

CCS offers biblical electives like apologetics, ethics, Greek, and early church history for students who want to go deeper. In sixth-grade math, students explore patterns and proportions as reflections of God's design. In biology, they examine the complexity of cellular systems and ask, "Could this arise by chance?" These courses challenge students to see faith as integral to every aspect of life and develop discernment to engage culture without compromising conviction.

Service

Service projects move students from knowledge to action. High school students complete community service before graduation, serving at local ministries, tutoring younger students, and adopting families at Christmas through Beta Club. Through partnerships with churches and global missions, students experience the body of Christ at work. They cultivate humility, empathy, and perseverance as they learn that following Jesus means showing up when others need you.

Retreat

The student retreat creates space away from daily distractions to encounter God deeply. Through extended worship, teaching, and reflection, students step back from the noise and draw near to Christ. The retreat also breaks down cliques and builds unity across the school as older students grow in servant leadership by guiding small groups and sharing testimonies.

Mentorship

Seniors read with kindergarteners, juniors with first graders, and middle school students with preschool students through our Reading Buddies program. Teachers walk alongside students through one-on-one mentoring, praying for them, encouraging them through struggles, and shepherding them spiritually. This culture of mentorship extends to our faculty as experienced teachers disciple newer colleagues, modeling biblical integration and passing on a legacy of Christlike teaching.

Our Vision
for Graduates

We are preparing students to graduate confident in what they believe and why. To articulate truth with grace. To think biblically about politics, entertainment, relationships, and calling. To engage thoughtfully and stand firm when professors challenge Christianity. To be prayerfully dependent on God, lead with humility, serve sacrificially, and use their gifts for Kingdom purposes as they influence homes, churches, workplaces, and communities for Christ.

Come See Formation in Action

We would love to show you what it looks like when students worship together, wrestle with Scripture, and walk faithfully alongside one another.
